This stout oval coffee table features a steel base sharply dressed in a silver-matte black powder coating. The Douglas fir was salvaged from the original framing in my 1911 Seattle house and is enlivened by a durable satin polyurethane finish. It measures 18" x 36" x 48" and the top is 1 3/4" thick. The curves and prominent beveled edge are reminiscent of the wood block boats I remember building in my youth.
