This entry bench was commissioned for both purpose and place.  It needed to be big enough to serve the family storage requirements with three baskets below yet remain unobtrusive in the small space.  The thoughtfully designed Douglas fir top was salvaged from the original framing in my 1911 Seattle house.  Brought to life again by a durable satin polyurethane finish the wooden top is supported by a bronze powder coated metal framework with carefully detailed corner posts.
